Hood to Coast, originated in Oregon, U.S.A. in 1982, has been known as the largest running and walking relay brand in the world in the past 37 years. It is now regarded as ‘the greatest extreme long-distance running relay in the world’ by its global fandom.Hood To Coast was officially introduced by Starz Sports International Management Co., Ltd (“Starz Sports”) into China in 2015. In 2017, the first Hood To Coast China Relay was successfully held in Zhangjiakou by Zhangjiakou Sports Bureau and Starz Sports.
In the last two years, Hood To Coast China Relay has gradually grown as a well-known brand among runners in China, attracting participants nationally and even globally with its scenic course, unique volunteering culture, distinctive relay race among teams consisted of ‘five runners plus one car’, and adventurous experiences of running on an unknown track day and night.
